--- name: UX Rule Compliance Check description: Evaluate digital product designs or wireframes against a comprehensive set of current UX rules and best practices. Identify potential violations and suggest improvements for enhanced user experience. when_to_trigger: when the user asks to check a design or wireframe against UX rules --- ## Overview Identify and report non-compliance with established User Experience (UX) rules and suggest actionable improvements for digital product designs (e.g., websites, mobile apps, software interfaces). Utilize principles from reputable UX experts and current industry standards (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group, Don Norman, material design guidelines, iOS human interface guidelines, accessibility standards like WCAG). ## When to use Use when a user provides design specifications, wireframes, or descriptions and asks for a UX audit, compliance check, or suggestions for improving user experience based on established principles. This is applicable for early-stage design reviews, pre-launch checks, or iterative improvements. ## How it works 1. Receive the user's digital product design description, wireframes, or specific elements to be evaluated. Acknowledge receipt of the design input. 2. Parse the provided design details, identifying key interface elements, user flows, and interaction points. 3. Access an internal knowledge base of at least 18 contemporary UX rules and best practices (including but not limited to principles of usability, accessibility, cognitive load, consistency, feedback, error prevention, and user control). 4. Compare the parsed design details against each relevant UX rule. 5. For every identified UX rule violation or area for improvement, describe the specific design element at fault, explain which rule is being violated or could be better applied, and provide a clear, actionable recommendation for improvement. 6. Compile a comprehensive report. Begin with an overall assessment of the design's UX health. 7. Present the findings as a numbered list of issues. Each item in the list must include: * The specific design component or flow (e.g., "Login form", "Navigation menu", "Checkout process"). * The violated or underutilized UX principle (e.g., "Consistency", "Feedback", "Error Prevention", "Accessibility"). * A brief explanation of the problem. * A concrete, actionable suggestion for improvement. 8. Conclude the report with a summary of the most critical issues and emphasize the overall UX strength of the design. ## Example usage **User:** "I have a wireframe for a new e-commerce product page. Can you check it against common UX rules? I'm particularly interested in the add-to-cart experience and mobile responsiveness. The page includes: a main product image, a title, price, description, quantity selector, an "Add to Cart" button, social share icons, and a review section. The
